Blurring Gender

This series showcases the androgyny of clothing, which I show through three vibrantly colored blazers: sapphire blue, forest green, and scarlet red. These blazers are worn by both male and female models that share similar hairstyles, hair colors, skin tone, build, etc., in order to truly focus on the clothing and create cohesive portraits. The final challenge was to thrift the clothing and stay under $30 in total, which is shown on the receipt. Although the receipt labels all the blazers under “women,” I believe they also complement the male models, proving my claim of androgynous clothing. What do you think?

(This is an ongoing project as I look for the male counterpart that matches the girl in the blue blazer.)
